Chaitali Sengupta is a financial analyst and a language teacher by profession; she is a poet by passion. Her debut book, a slim collection of prose poems CROSS STITCHED WORDS, was published in February 2021 by the US-based publishing house SETU. She would be presenting her book to the audience and read out from the book.

The poems in this bundle attempt to connect and engage the inner life of our hearts, through words, through images, through poetry. The author worked on this book and compiled them at a time when the world battled with the pandemic. Writing this book was an amazing experience, as she addresses the themes of love, loss, passage of time, impermanence, migrants crisis, enviornmental crisis, freedom, empthay and sorrow. Through this book reading, she would be sharing her poetic journey, her experiences, life lessons with the audience.

At the end, there would be book signing moment for those who wish to grab a copy, and a small ‘informal’ window to ask questions to the author, connect with her. Many readers have already read her book, they might share their opinions too with her.

Chaitali Sengupta
Chaitali is a published writer, translator, volunteer journalist from the Netherlands. Her published works include two translations “Quiet whispers of our heart” and “A thousand words of heart”. Recently Chaitali’s first prose poem collection “Cross- Stitched words” (Setu publication, Pittsburgh, USA) was published. Her poems have also been anthologized in many international collections and she writes for many print and online journals. Recently she received certificate of recognition for her work by the Foundation Literary International Cuba-Holanda.
