Understanding climate change is not always easy due to the load of information and the difficulty to picture a systemic overview of the related mechanisms.

With the Climate Fresk you will learn the basic scientific knowledge to understand climate change and link the causes to the consequences.
For example:

• How is your consumption linked to environmental refugees?
• What is radiative forcing and how is it linked to the Greenhouse effect ?

Climate Fresk is a creative workshop based on collective intelligence; participants receive cards representing the different components of climate change and collaboratively work to identify cause and effect relationships. People for Planet’s facilitators will use the materials from the foundation La Fresque du Climat to guide the group discussion.

For whom?
This is for anyone aged 16 and above who would like to learn more about climate change. Novices or experts, anyone is welcome to contribute! You will go home with some ideas of what you could do personally to help counter climate change.

Schedule
o 15’ – Getting to know each other with a presentation of People for Planet
o 1h – BUILD: Discover and link the cards to create the Fresk.
o 1h – CREATE: Take ownership of the Fresk by adding illustrations and a title.
o 15’ – PRESENT: Deliver a concise presentation to consolidate your knowledge.
o 45’ – DEBRIEF: Share with other players your feelings, opinions, questions and solutions.

People for Planet
The facilitators of the workshop are members of People for Planet who followed the training for the Climate Fresk and hosted other workshops before. All facilitators are internationals living in Eindhoven with different career backgrounds and knowledge in sustainability; from engineering to social sciences.

People for Planet is a non-profit organisation that aims to raise awareness and to connect the local community to the systemic actors through collaborative projects in an inclusive and transparent manner. Being part of the organisation for two years now, our facilitators have experience in organising and hosting different awareness events such as a talk with Cure, the Slow Fashion Meetup, a brainstorming session for the City Council.
