Webinar: AGORA Workshop 2 - Characterology

Due to Covid-19-related restrictions, this workshop will be offered online. Register here.

Characterology: What wounds are you healing?

The study of Character Structures originated in the work of Wilhelm Reich. As he looked at his client’s bodies and learned about their wounds, he found that the age at which a particular wound happened produced characteristic patterns that could be seen in body, behaviour, and beliefs. Reich identified 5 main wounds and the resulting character structures that alter the child development.

This workshop is based on the work of therapists Alexander Lowen and John Pierrakos who further developed this body-mind approach.

By understanding our own patterns, we are able to recognise, not only our struggles, but also our gifts and life purpose. In the workshop, we will experiment how to approach and respond to the different wounds and gain compassion for who we are. In addition, we can learn to act with more empathy and wisdom towards the people we love by understanding how their patterns cause them to act in particular ways.

About the AGORA Workshops Program (2020):
In this one year-program of 12 monthly AGORA workshops, Nathalie will invite us on a journey of discovery and exploration 'towards our core and back', in order to live a life of purpose, joy and connection. We will start with the ancient Greek aphorism 'know yourself' as a basis for personal development and to look at how transformation begins with Self-awareness.

We will then continue to grow our awareness of our relationship with the world by exploring our 'perceptions of the world', i.e. how we create our reality and find our unique place and contribution to the world. We will then be ready to consciously deepen our 'connection with others' through developing our emotional intelligence. The workshops are experiential and interactive.

IMPORTANT: There is a build up throughout the year, but each workshop can be followed separately.
