't is Goed Zo

Op weg naar een waardige dood

Eelco was een man die psychisch ondraaglijk en uitzichtloos leed en het leven moe was. Hij koos er voor om legaal, via euthanasie, uit het leven te stappen. De documentaire 't is Goed Zo gaat over zijn missie, over het doorbreken van taboe´s, over vriendschap en afscheid nemen.

In de film volgen we Eelco in zijn laatste dagen, zijn media-optredens waar hij zelfverzekerd overkomt, hoe hij afscheid neemt en het leven verlaat middels euthanasie. Maar ook hoe het daarna met zijn familie en vriendin gaat.

Monique, de moeder van Eelco, is deze avond aanwezig. Na het bekijken van de film is er gelegenheid om alle vragen te stellen aan Monique.

A Dignified Death

Eelco was a man who had a psychologically unbearable and hopeless life. He was tired of life and chose death, by legal euthanasia. This documentary is about his mission, about breaking taboos, about friendship and saying goodbye.

In the film we follow Eelco in his last days, his media performances where he comes across as confident, how he says goodbye and leaves life through euthanasia. But also how life continues for his family and girlfriend after his death.

Monique, Eelco's mother, is present this evening. After the screening there is an opportunity to ask her questions.
