Green Café board game night: ‘Play away for a better planet’

Sustainability is a well-known but not a simple topic: it covers all the aspects of our lifestyles, it’s on top of the mind of many scientists, it’s on the agendas of the world leaders, more and more regulated by laws and corporate rules. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by different data points, technicalities, and proposed solutions, and most importantly, understand what your role in all this could be. So why not try and get to know more about it in an engaging and playful way?

The Green Café would like to invite you for a ‘Habitat games’ session where you can, in an entertaining way, deepen your understanding of sustainability and unleash your creativity while collaborating with fellow players to preserve the planet:

ECOPOLIS will put you in the shoes of world leaders who navigate the balance between the ever-growing needs of humanity and the urgency to address resource depletion and climate change. You want what’s best for your population in terms of healthcare, education, income, and equality, but at the same time development of these areas should always consider the health of our planet. So, what can you do? See also a short video about this game.

2030 Global Goals will test and expand your knowledge on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their Targets set by the United Nations. With 186 unique cards representing each of the 17 Goals and 169 Targets, you'll aim to address global sustainability challenges by matching specific targets with their corresponding goals, gaining insights into the global agenda for sustainable development.

Within the three-hour span, you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded fellow players and together find possible directions or solutions to the global challenges. Both games promise you an enriching, educational and fun experience. You are welcome to stay after the game until 17:00 to chat and network. Hurry up to sign up and invite your friends, seats are limited!
