Dit jaar biedt de bibliotheek opnieuw ruimte aan verschillende designers om hun werk te tonen tijdens de DDW. Kom langs en laat je inspireren door de verschillende designers. We hebben tevens interessante evenementen op het programma staan.

What’s Next Junior
What’s Next Junior (WNJ) geeft kinderen (en hun ouders) op school of in de bieb nieuwe boekentips gericht op de eigen voorkeuren. Kinderen kunnen zelf via de computer een boek scannen dat ze leuk vonden of hun leeftijd en interesses aangeven. WNJ is momenteel een prototype dat middels twee pilots (in 2022 en 2023) op basisscholen in Eindhoven en Waalre is getest. WNJ wordt in samenwerking met Garage2020, GGD Brabant Zuid Ook en CQM ontwikkeld.

Little Big Futures - Fab lab Barcelona
Interactief bordspel met digitaal gefabriceerde tools, laat 12+ kinderen percepties over klimaat, gender, mentale gezondheid etc. in kaart brengen om echo chambers tegen te gaan. MDEF-programma.

Bouwen aan de Bibliotheek van de Toekomst
15-25-jarigen ontwerpen de Bibliotheek van de Toekomst met 8 bibliotheken in de Brainport-regio. Concepten en minimale levensvatbare producten herdefiniëren het aanbod rond lezen, verbinden en maatschappelijke participatie. Geleid door jonge vernieuwers die verkennen, bouwen, testen en verbeteren.

Groter dan je bent
‘Groter dan je bent' is een korte, handgetekende animatiefilm die vragen verkent over herstel en het herkaderen van intieme jeugdherinneringen door een hoopvolle lens.

Exploring Posthumanist Design through Making
Posthuman en more-than-human design wil zich niet langer alleen richten op de mens, maar ook alle niet-mensen betrekken bij designen, met als doel duurzamer te ontwerpen. Maar hoe doe je dat? Doe mee aan de 45 minuten durende workshop waarin we praktische posthuman-designmethoden behandelen. Meld je hier aan voor 21, 24 of 28 oktober.

Little Big Futures - Fab lab Barcelona
An interactive board game using digitally fabricated tools that allows children from 12 years and above to map their perceptions and attitudes. The project was developed during the Master in Design for Emergent Futures (MDEF), a program offered by IAAC - Fab Lab Barcelona and Elisava.

Bouwen aan de Bibliotheek van de Toekomst
15-25-year-olds shape the Library of the Future together with 8 libraries in the Brainport region. Concepts and minimal viable products redefine offerings of active reading, connecting and societal participation. Driven by young innovators who explore, design, build, test, learn, and iterate.

Bigger than you are
'Bigger than you are' (OT 'Groter dan je bent') is a hand-drawn animated short film that explores questions about recovery and reframing one’s intimate childhood memories through a hopeful lens.
